Experiences

I am a yoga teacher, graduated in 2019 at The Yoga Institute after completing a 900h teacher training in Raja Yoga. I currently work as Hatha Yoga teacher at Spazio Yoga Chiavari, Punto Yoga Ananda in Genova Nervi and My Studio in Cogoleto. I recently co-founded the holistic cultural association Yogacara and a yoga retreat centre in Liguria, to share the benefits of the yogic lifestyle.

I have a degree in media languages at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan, and a specialistic degree in Theories and Methods of Communication at the Università degli Studi di Milano.

I learned the main approaches to communication, from sociology and psychology to new media studies and journalism in its different forms.

The years of university were also the time of internships, firstly in the press office of FICTS – Fédération Nationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs (2009), where I helped in the organization of a movie festival, and then the local press agency Omnimilano (2010). Here I came in contact with the very essence of journalism, news. I liked that job so much that I wrote my thesis on a possible model of local press agency.

Excited by these experiences, I went to London and attended a six-months postgraduate course at the London School of Journalism. This challenging environment increased my enthusiasm for journalism and prepared me for a future job.

Back in Italy, I’ve been working at Latitudeslife, a very lively travel web magazine based in Milan. I’ve been working in this creative team for two years, and my tasks included writing news, reportages, travel tips, reviews, articles about wellness, participating to press trips and publishing live, but also making video interviews and recording audio files (most of the portfolio articles that you find in this website come from that period).

Then I decided to go back to university and take my second degree: I deepened my knowledge and definitely fell in love with multimedia publishing. I learned a bit of code, practiced my ability to use CMS and other digital tools, and understood how to use them to communicate cultural subjects. For almost a year I’ve been working at Centro APICE, Archives of Word, Image and Editorial Communication to help my group fixing some digital exhibitions ready to be published, and I created a new one, all on my own. I like to call it my little child, for the hours, effort and passion that were necessary to create it. It’s called “John Alcorn Graphic and Illustrator”, it’s about John Alcorn, an extraordinary commercial artist, and is published soon here in Italian and English.

After graduation, I moved to Florence to start a new life here and possibly find a nice interesting job. As I love challenges and learning, in the meanwhile I decided to study the theory and practice of ebooks and created one. Working with an author, I drove him to write in a consistent order, I corrected the drafts, looked for images, set them in pages and made the multimedia ebook. You can visit this website and read it, but only in Italian (sorry for that).

Then I decided to understand more about the teamwork that is behind the projects that put the newest digital technologies at the service of cultural heritage. And I entered the creative team of Centrica, a company specialized in digital imaging and in the development of applications and technologies for museums, archives, municipalities and cultural institutions. In the role of communication and marketing specialist, I can see all the aspects of the production, understand the rules of this world and boost my creativity. Among the projects that we worked on, one was the organization of Uffizi Virtual Experience, a virtual exhibition dedicated to the Uffizi Gallery, that combines an extraordinary immersive setting and high profile interactive technologies. I curated various aspects of the organization, managed all the communication activities and, ultimately, had much fun.
